Beware Of Tech Support Phone Scam

Beware of the telephone scam where a person tells you they are with Microsoft support and you have viruses on your computer. Their aim is to convince you to let them have access to your computer to supposedly “fix” the problem. What really happens is they infect your computer and charge you to remove the infections they put on. If you have been exposed to this, please let me know. You need help in having this software removed and your computer reconfigured.

Internet Security – Are you protected?

Does your computer have a comprehensive Internet Security Program protecting you from viruses and spyware and firewall protection against potential hackers? It does not matter if you have a Windows computer or a Mac, you need protection. Besides having the protection, you need to keep it up-to-date.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who think their computers do not need protection. Hackers take advantage of this all the time. Why be a victim of destructive attacks when you can easily protect yourself? If you have been a victim, then you know how severe your computer can be damaged or co-opted.

So, get protected and stay protected. Take control of your computing experience. If you do not, it can become expensive to repair.

Speed Up Your Internet Experience

A good way to speed up your Internet experience on your phone or your computer is to clear out your “cache” folder. In Internet Explorer go to Internet Options and delete the browsing history. In Google Chrome go to Settings-History and clear browsing data. I could go on and on. Every browser has some link for you to do this. If you need help, let me know.
